GNOME Sysadmin Apprentice Program

Team,

I'd like to introduce myself.  My name is Gustavo Bruzza.  I was introduced to this program by Sriram Ramkrishna. We used to work together at Intel Corp. I was recently let go in the latest round of layoffs. With free time at hand I thought it'd be a good opportunity to contribute to this program and learn a great deal in the process.

Earlier in my career I was a developer for Kaiser Permanente running their outpatient system.  This position transition into a VMS system manager which a few later allowed me to join Intel Corp.  In my 20 years at Intel, I worked mostly as a system administrator for their factory infrastructure. I was a sysadmin for their VMS, Windows and Linux systems. For last 3 years I worked as a storage admin for the tapeout group. I have experience and written code in languages like MUMPS, Fortran, C, Perl, Bash.  I have good experience running Debian and just a year CentOS7. I know this is a simple overview of my background so if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask me.

I’m following the instructions from https://wiki.gnome.org/Sysadmin/Apprentices under “How do I join” section.

I appreciate the time you take to consider me. I'm looking forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,

Gustavo
