system-config-firewall 1.2.29 GUI hangs - sometimes.
I'm not sure if this is a bug or a configuration issue, but please let me know
if you need any further information from me and I will supply it. I'd really
like to get to the bottom of this.
SYSTEM: Fedora 15 (lovelock) - standard public release / up to date.
---------
Open the firewall GUI utility (Applications > Other > Firewall).
Select Other Ports and make an entry.
Press 'Apply' and accept the confirmation message that is dispayed.
Close and reopen the firewall application and attempt to remove the previously
entered ports and apply the changes.
Sometimes the Apply button will grey out at this point, and you can close the
application, but sometimes the button will not grey out, and the application
refuses to close or accept your configuration changes. Even after restarting
the computer this issue persists.
I seem to have been able to "kick start" the firewall GUI by adding a new
entry, saving, closing and reopening the firewall, at which point I was able to
remove any unwanted ports.
I am not able to get the firewall GUI to behave this way consistently, but I am
trying.
