Summary: Git repo for perl libchamplain bindings
                    (perl-Champlain/perl-Gtk2-Champlain)
    Classification: Infrastructure
           Product: sysadmin
           Version: unspecified
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: Normal
         Component: Git
        AssignedTo: sysadmin-maint gnome bugs

     GNOME version: ---

I would like to have a separate repository for the perl bindings of
libchamplain. Based on the existing perl packages hosted on git.gnome.org I
believe that the most adequate name for my repo should by perl-Champlain.

This package provides perl bindings for libchamplain, a map widget that's based
on clutter and uses various map sources that are freely available.

The perl bindigns are pacakged as a CPAN package and the source code is
distributed through CPAN (http://search.cpan.org/perldoc?Champlain). All my
current releases are available there.

I believe that my project meets the project requisites. In fact my code is
already hosted in your servers because the bindings are already available in
libchamplain's git repo
(http://git.gnome.org/browse/libchamplain/tree/bindings/perl/Champlain).

My goal is to remove the bindings from the main repo of libchamplain and to
make them available as a standalone project.

The project libchamplain consists of 2 libraries: libchamplain (the main
canvas) and libgtk2-champlain (GTK2 wrapper). My bindings are separated in two
different projects perl-Champlain and perl-Gtk2-Champlain. I would like to have
2 separate git repositories. If needed I can fill a second bug for
perl-Gtk2-Champlain.
