I just verified with the Canonical sysadmins that the connectivity works (no
firewalling). It appears it is on the GNOME side, which also explains why other
OpenID providers are failing as well.

I think we need to look more closely on our OpenID authentication and see where
it may be failing. logs? debug output? etc.
