You prodded me to reply on why India should host the hackfest: It's important because many Indian hackers won't be allowed a Shenganvisa while all European hackers will be allowed an Indian visa easily thus the apt choice of location is India.

We (Linux User Group Mumbai) can organise GNOME hack session in Mumbai.
We are already in the process of having some hacking sessions here in Mumbai in association with IIT & TIFR.
So pls let us know whether Gnome foundation is interested in this proposal.

Hi
Tentative dates are on September time frame which is right after GUADEC,
however those dates are not tentative because most of the topics which are
on the agenda are on GUADEC BOF.
One of the feedback which I have received is if most hackers are travelling
from EU then would India be a good place to organize a hackfest?
any thoughts?
