Dear translations team,
we're seeking for a string freeze exception for in gnome-settings-
daemon.
Details can be found here:
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-settings-daemon/-/merge_requests/192/diffs#b2656164d97e5e60c50fd14cf5c149c5a8e30904_591_589
and the affected two strings are:
"New keyboard detected" which ought to be "New device detected"
And:
"Either your keyboard has been reconnected or a new one has been plugged in. "
which will become:
"Either one of your existing devices has been reconnected or a new one has been plugged in. "
The patch will be merged if or rather when the exception is granted.
In fairness, it is not absolutely necessary to push it to 3.38, but it would be nice as it will most likely
lessen the number of frustrated users asking for help ;-)
Thanks,
Tobi
