It is called Kazakhstan in English.
I'd rather wait for further actions from the government, for implementation plan, at least. Shouldn't the locale definition be added to glibc first?

On October 27, Qazaqstan officially changed its Cyrillic-based script to a Latin-based one.
Therefore, the kk locale should be repurposed for the Latn script, and existing translations moved to kk@cyrillic or something similar.
What steps will Gnome take in that direction?
