Thank you Daniel and Alexandre!!! And thank you entire i18n team for all
the work you do.
In order to get the string in so that translation can proceed, I've gone
ahead and committed the patch to the gnome-3-14 branch. Surely the
Release Team will not object to an i18n-approved tiny addition to a
hidden GUI that facilitates the switch away from non-Free software to
GNU/Linux. ;) But if I'm wrong, I can always comment out the lines which
actually add it to the GUI.

Well, it's getting late, but your explanation seems reasonable and
there's only one string with a nice comment for translators, so here's
my +1 for i18n.
