Re: adding Geary to GNOME's translation project

Thanks, Piotr.  I'll let Charles contact you when he's ready with the Geary work.

Regarding Shotwell, we have a ticket for this, if you want to track it (or anyone wants to lend a hand!):

https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=718783

I don't know when we'll get this done, but going through this process for Geary gives me an idea of what we'll need to do for Shotwell.

Cheers,

We've recently moved Geary[1] from our custom hosting into the GNOME project. We used to use Transifex to handle translations, but now we'd like to make use of the Damned Lies infrastructure and work with the talented GNOME translation team. I hope my branch[2] to fix up our translation process has updated us to a more GNOME-ish way of doing things, and should be landing in master soon. Assuming this branch lands and indeed enables the correct workflow for translators, what else needs to happen to get Geary fully participating in Damned Lies?
Hello, I looked into the branch and it seems to behave correctly. You might want to add po/untitled.pot to .gitignore or fix the POT generation process to generate po/geary.pot, but it's just a cosmetic issue. I'm ready to add Geary to Damned Lies as soon as you land the branch in master, and I'm looking forward to doing the same with Shotwell. Best regards,
