First, there is no string freeze yet (only string announce), that will

Agreed, this won't play nicely in some languages.

Some of us will mess it up, I don't doubt it :).
How about turning it inside out:

Tip: %s affect how much power is used
where %s is <link>%s</link> where %s is "Brightness Settings" ?
