Hello all,

This mail announces the immediate availability of the new unstable
release of the PiTiVi video editor 0.14.2. This is the result of the
PiTiVi hackfest[0] we had during the Desktop Summit in Berlin.

PiTiVi is an open source video editor, written in Python and based on
GStreamer and GTK+.

Major changes in this unstable release are:
   * Transformation UI directly in the video viewer
   * Auto-aligner feature
   * User manual in mallard
   * Soft dependency manager
   * UI enhancements
   * Code cleanup
   * ...

And of course many bugs fixed.

We are now starting the feature freeze in order to keep following the
Gnome schedule and have a last stable release based on the current
python core of PiTiVi in September. We are now concentrating on the
Gstreamer Editing Services port for the following releases.

To file bugs, please go to:
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=pitivi

Tarballs are available here:
http://ftp.gnome.org/pub/GNOME/sources/pitivi/0.14/

Thanks for testing it and help us making a great release due for the
26th of September.

Enjoy!

 Thibault, on behalf of the PiTiVi team.
