requesting string and feature freeze break for hamster-applet

Hello all!

In 2.32 project hamster lost the grand totals for the reports.
Bit of regression and seems to be used by quite a few, so i'd like to
reapply the patch that i just committed to git master[1].
It breaks 5 strings or so. Apologies for the size of the patch.

Alternatively users can override the report and deduce the totals
themselves using bit of javascript, or paste the results in a
spreadsheet and count them there, so i don't consider this to be a
horrible deal breaker, but 2.32 will be around for a while and a
regression is a regression (is a regression).
