sabayon: ngettext strings untranslated

I failed to take a fully localized screenshot of sabayon for
2.20 Release Notes.

There seems to be gettext problem, as described here:
  http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=475434

I'm not sure what the proper fix should be, between fixing
gettext.install() and switching to [bind]textdomain().

Besides, the problem in the main window is confirmed:
  http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=450085

It should be nice to have them fixed before 2.20 release.
