Tradition we are changing! Look for removing update-po rule from
"make distcheck" discussions. For example, the one dated May 2003:

Rodney has removed "update-po" dependency from intltool as well:
http://mail.gnome.org/archives/gnome-i18n/2005-January/msg00136.html
Please, don't commit any changes to PO files if you can avoid it.
