Well, I wish like gedit and SciTE
(www.scintilla.org/SciTE.html) had autocorrect and/or
grammar tools.

I wish someone could GTK+'ize Scintilla component too. Some
people say Scintilla it's better than gtksourceview. At
least Tevaum (he reads this list) say so. As I don't know
gtksourceview, I can't have an opinion about it, but I can
say I like Scintilla very much.
