wrt the last sentence I can only say "God Forbid!" it reads like its a
finished fact. Far from it.

There is no big reason why 2.1.x couldn't get the same translators
attention like the one 2.0.x enjoys, but:
(according to schedule: http://developer.gnome.org/dotplan/schedule/)
1. 2.0.x is the current stable branch of development (its string frozen
by default). As a translator I fully expect minor releases to include my
refined and finished translations of the desktop which is most likely to
get in a some distribution.
2. We are months away from the supposed string freeze (or at least a
month away from the feature completeness) for 2.2.
and something peripheral but quite important
3. The translation status pages only track 2.0.x cvs branches
translation status.
Thats how I see it

Yanko
