Ok. So the change in intltool broke this.
Anyway, what intltool does now (it doesn't ignore silent line breaks) I
suspect is a bug...
Could you please add a bug report in bugzilla.gnome.org about this
problem with gedit and different intltool versions, against "intltool"?
If you do so, please also mention the bug number afterwards.
