Assuming that you would start work for Gnome 2.0 ( and since gnome 1.4
doesnt support indian languages ), you can get the original POT's from
, or the cvs .

For Gnome you need to use Unicode ( UTF8 ) only . For data entry you
can use a gtk2.0 based app like testtext or Yudit ( www.yudit.org ),
which has support for opentype fonts. Will give you a more detailed
step-by-step tutorial on how to about all this in couple of days.
