Correct. atk has been made translatable wrt. the 2.1.x version.

I don't think so, since Padraig O'Briain spent a lot of time making atk
translatable (there was a big thread on this list, starting in october,
about this). So I'm fairly sure the messages present being translatable
is intentional. But I really don't know much about atk myself; perhaps
Padraig can bring some light into this issue.
