Continuing problems with CVS server access

Hi:

I ahve bene trying to access the CVS server for some time now but have been 
having trouble. None of the following worked. Is there something wrong with 
the way I am inputing these commands:

export CVSROOT=':pserver:anonymous@anoncvs.gnome.org:/cvs/gnome'
[root@localhost /root]# cvs login
(Logging in to anonymous@anoncvs.gnome.org)
CVS password:
cvs [login aborted]: connect to anoncvs.gnome.org:2401 failed: Connection 
timed out


export CVSROOT=':pserver:anonymous@anoncvs3.gnome.org:/cvs/gnome'
[root@localhost /root]# cvs login
(Logging in to anonymous@anoncvs3.gnome.org)
CVS password:

export CVSROOT=':pserver:anonymous@anoncvs1.gnome.org:/cvs/gnome'
