I got about six like these for my language's translations alone and still
getting more.
It's good policy (at least for GNOME el translations) to send back a
polite message laying out the situation.. :) I even have a template
letter.
Things to include in such a letter might be:
o you may not have now the full qualifications for such
translations
o you will definetely be able to get such qualifications
o will look nice on your CV
o you will get experience in working remotely
o there is no direct paying involved
o you may contact the local linux distributions
for support and they will like you if you already
have done some work
o you will be prefered in future work involving GNOME
o it's free to have a try and see how it goes
