Bug in po-toys

It seems the latest version of po-toys (0.3.4) simply drops non-ASCII
characters when composing a new translation memory on newer Linux
systems (glibc 2.2.4 and gettext 0.10.38 in my case). I.e, the msgstr
"_Rutnätsupplösning:" becomes "_Rutntsupplsning:" in the memory. This is
of course very unfortunate.

Any solution to this?

Christian
