8bit character within translatable messages

Since some gettext tools or .po file editors will not work correctly if
C code contains "arbitrary" 8bit characters. At least, for the moment
it's a good idea to stay away from iso-8859-1 (or other such encodings).

Unfortunately, the comment must be placed directly before the marked
string; otherwise xgettext will not catch it. Please apply something
along the following patch:

2001-08-15 Karl Eichwalder <ke@suse.de>

	* numtheory.c: Avoid 8bit character within translatable messages.
Add a comment to remind translators to use the correct character
	if available.
