I don't think that's a good idea. One of the things that I don't like
about GOB is that you presumably have to edit the .gob files instead of
the C sources. Delaying the regeneration of generated sources will just
add a confusing delay to the loss of peoples' changes. If these files
are generated then they shouldn't be in cvs anyway.

Don't worry, you can still use C++ for applications.
