This should be resolvable with fontconfig, as we have the font files
available for the screen fonts. There's code used by Qt that we can
also use for downloading those to the printer, handling subsetting for
i18n and all that. (At least I think that's what the code does.)  The
key is to use fontconfig, screw the stupid old-style X fonts.
