Many people will upgrade from 1.2 or 1.4, and if their experience
is bad, they will maybe stop using Gnome for a while. Right now
I don't think that'd be good.
So Gnome 2 needs to be reasonably solid, fast, and not too
memory-intensive, when compared with 1.2 or 1.4.
An extra couple of months might mean gnome 2 doesn't get into
the next debian release, if their shedule is to be believed,
but when it does, make the wait worth-while! People don't
use features, they use software that may or may not have
features -- the experience has to be a positive one.
So, wait until the end of July.
Or that's my take at least.
