Dear all of you who have written to me flaming me for the bad polyXmass
annoucement.
I'm so confused, sorry - soooo much. This was a mistake, I would not have
done this deliberately.
The changelog went out and I just did not have time to stop it. I
corrected the problem IMMEDIATELY after by putting a stripped down version
of the ChangeLog. Now it seems correct.
Further I seem to have checked the checkbutton telling I wanted a notice
to be published, which I shouldn't have done.
As soon as I got the mails from you all, I went, my heart beating, to the
www.gnome.org page and tried to see if the problems were corrected. The
polyXmass-related stuff seems to be OK.
I'm so sorry, I'm accustomed to the way freshmeat works: you make changes,
you ask that they be validated, and if the result is sound, then you send
them out. In the Gnome page, the result is not pre-checked by the author
of the modifications...
I hope this clarifies the situation, and convinces you that I'm not so
stupidly lazy to deliberately behave the way I did...
By the way, polyXmass is a Gnome scientific program for helping
chemists/biochemists cope with mass spectrometric data
prediction/analyses...
www.polyxmass.org
I so much appreciate all the work that is done by all of you,
Cheers,
Filippo
