On those systems? Nee... He, he.. You, know a .50 takes out the computer..

Actually, the stats is a little different than usual. If you can keep it
running by rebooting once each day it is good enough.
Don't know if a webservice or a newsfeed would accept that.. We won't..

The thing is, the GUI (GNOME) has to be built in such a way that it is
easy to adapt to the special needs of mil-systems.

o A window manager that can "protect" certain windows from being hidden
o A window manager with predefined window positions
o Support for "proteced" drag and drop (and cut and paste) between windows
o Easy configuration of additional input/output devices
o Very special accelerator keys (ie, function keyboards)
o Very special pointing devices (roller ball, 3D-mouse)
o Input devices with displays (ie, LCD touch screens)
o Components in special windows - Bonobo I gess..
  o Special icon sizes..
  o Weird display sizes (2048x2048 is a killer.. 1964x1280.. 240x128..)
o Applications that grabs the root window (sorry Eazel/Nautilus)
o Weird X11-visuals (8b PsaudoColor and 16b TrueColor in the same window)
  o .. (lot's of stuff)
