File converting

I think that when the user changes the extension of a file in teh file
manager, the file manager should attemp to convert the file to the right
format, but ask "You wanted to change the extension. Should teh file be
converted to JPEG?", or something like that. If it fails, (For example
because either the original or the new file is in unknown format), it
should dislplay, "This file cannot be converted to the new format.
Change the extension?" or something smiliar...
Because most users when they try to rename a file, they simply change
the extension, and think it changes teh format...
