i already wrote a rant about this: yes, gimp does have an edit menu.
it's just that menus in the gimp are accessed through a right-click in
any graphic window, not from a menu bar. (obvious exception is the
toolbar window, but that's a special case.)
i've already proposed gimp-like right-clickable menus for other gnome
apps, and somebody liked it so i'm feeling happy about that. :)
