Hi Will,
I've added my comments to the post.
Please let me know if you need me to clarify o explain something in more detail.

Hi,
(Please excuse this email in English – I don't speak Spanish.)
I've recently become responsible for maintaining Endless's downstream translations. In Endless, whose Spanish-speaking users are mainly in Latin America, we have historically modified the Spanish translation downstream to use “tú†rather than “ustedâ€, which appears to be what GNOME's Spanish translation uses. I'd like to see whether we can stop doing this, while still showing correct strings for users' dialects of Spanish. I started a thread about this on DiscourseÂ
https://discourse.gnome.org/t/tu-usted-in-spanish-translations/748 – please could you let me know if you have any suggestions?
