Sorry, let me clarify. We currently ship four documents in
gnome2-user-docs:
GNOME User's Guide
GNOME System Administrator's Guide
GNOME Accessibility Guide
Introduction to GNOME
Intro is the smallest. The XML file weighs in at 1983 lines, though
that's not much of an indication of its size. It's 10 sections long,
though the meat of the document starts at section 4. You can read it
with the command
yelp ghelp:introduction-to-gnome
The Nautilus changes are the biggest problem, I think. We'd have to
rescreenshot Figure 4-1, and update Section 4.2 to describe Computer.
Section 6 is all about Nautilus, so it would probably just have to be
rewritten. Section 7 needs some edits for the One True Panel. And
Section 8 would need to be updated to account for new applications and
applications that have gone the way of the dodo.
It's not a huge document, and updating it should be feasible. I'm a bit
worried about pushing a document that hasn't had time for review, but if
somebody wants to take a crack at it in the next week, I certainly won't
stop them. I'll be out of town for the weekend, so I won't be able to
do it.
So here's a revised proposal: I can wait until Monday morning or so for
this. If somebody does the updates, I can roll a 2.6.1 with the updates
included. Otherwise, I can roll a 2.6.0-1 with Intro removed.
