As Alexander mentioned, it should happen automatically.
My reason for replying is to mention that if you want to delve into the
process a bit further, the Norm Walsh stylesheets for Docbook keep the
translated content in xsl-stylesheets/common/XX.xml (where XX = language
code). Then you can poke around the *.xsl files to see where these
things are referenced.
