GDP Leadership

Folks -

With GNOME 2.4 completed, I would like to step down as GDP coordinator.
I've a book idea I'd like to explore, and to do it right I need to shed
some GNOME responsibility. I'm not leaving, but I need to scale back.

I would like to recommend Shaun McCance as the new GDP coordinator. He
has quickly and effectively taken over much of the most important work
already, providing our technical infrastructure with the energetic and
competent love it has so needed. Shaun has a lot of good ideas, and I
think he's in a position to help us all move forward.

We do not have a formal process for succession, so perhaps a discussion
here might be in order. Or I could, my arm clad in the purest shimmering
samite, hold aloft Excalibur from the bosom of the water signifying by
Divine Providence that he, Shaun, is to carry Excalibur. Whatever.

Serving as GDP Fearless Leader has been a hoot. Thanks for the
privilege.

Cheers,
John
