updating GDP handbook

Hi guys:
the version of GDP handbook posted on GDP website
http://developer.gnome.org/projects/gdp/handbook/
is about a year old, and probably could use some updating. In
particular: Malcolm, Shaun: could you look at the "Building
Documentation within a Program" section and make sure it is still
up-to-date? 

Eric: how do you feel about updating the Handbook? Some parts definitely
need updating, but not too exrtensive.
