Theo is correct in that the usability reviews have tried to eradicate
all mention of "applets" from the GUI itself, though. It's just a pity
the docs still have to call them something :)
But ultimately, you need a name for that class of object. If you can come
up with a nice short descriptive name then that would probably be an
obvious replacement for 'applet' but until then its sort of irreplacable.
Surely one would expect people to be able to put names to objects on screen
(button, window, window frame, ...) when asked?
