Manually saving sessions at any time?

The user's guide says:
"Note that you can also manually save your session at any time by
selecting Settings->Session->Save Current Session from the Main Menu."
I can't find that option anywhere in the control center. I have
control-center-1.4.0.1-ximian.5 under Red Hat 7.1
