It is definitely necessary (same for font selection dialog). It is
easy to write docs for them (e.g., for font selector it is virtually
identical to gfontsel utility), but then we must bug the developers
somehow to put these docs into gnome-libs, alogn with the
dialogs/widgets themselves.
