I don't really think we should be removing those until most major
distributions are shipping with gnome 1.2.  I don't think that they've
gotten there just yet.  RedHat and TurboLinux certainly aren't there.
Debian is still on 2.0.x kernels, so they're CERTAINLY not on gnome 1.2.
