I should point out it's not really mine :)
This was just something I had hanging around. Paul (Rusty) Russell
wrote it and sent it to Alan for the kernel; Alan bounced it to me
for DocBook-checking cos he's lazy, and I added a few tags, sent it
back to Rusty, he added a few, sent it back, I couldn't find any
more tags to put in, and in it went. So if you have been wondering
where kernel hacking fitted into GNOME user documentation, wonder
no more.
I just got my grubby paws on it for a while and used it to practise
a whole new set of tags. There is not much call for <function>,
<envar>, <returnvalue> and whatever the rest were in GNOME users
docs :)

I confess, I haven't an earthly. It was in the example in the duck
book (I have got bored typing "DocBook: the Definitive Guide" when
"duck book" is quicker) so in it went.

I think almost anything can have an id attribute. Whether jade will
do anything with it, I dunno :) Whether gnomedb2html2 will want to
do anything with it, I dunno, but I imagine it would be grand for
searching in the future. "I know there was a table that had this
in it, let's try and get a list of all the tables with their titles
in the hope it rings a bell..." etc.
(I know Ali's on holiday; I have just got back myself :))
