It should co-exist just fine - the one thing it does which you may or
may not like is that it moves the default stylesheet 'cygnus-both.dsl'
to 'cygnus-both.dsl.bak'. It then copies gdp-both.dsl (The main GDP
stylesheet) to cygnus-both.dsl this is really the easiest way to let
everyone in the GDP use the stylesheet without providing all new db2*
scripts.

As far as DocBook is concerned it just adds a custom docbook layer
that allows you to use PNG graphics - this is called
png-support-3.0.dtd and png-support-3.1.dtd. Your CATALOG file has
these appended to it so you can use them but Docbook itself is never
actually touched.

To use the new dtds just put one of the following in your Doctype
declaration:

<!DOCTYPE Book PUBLIC "-//GNOME//DTD DocBook PNG Variant V1.0//EN"[]>

for DocBook 3.0 or:

<!DOCTYPE Book PUBLIC "-//GNOME//DTD DocBook PNG Variant V1.1//EN"[]>

for DocBook 3.1

Thats it besides some scripts which you can read more about at:

Cheers,

Dave
