Hi,
Because of / despite the overwhelming feedback [1] I received from the
last thing I put out, I decided to continue onward with my
'kill-scrollkeeper' thing. The hatred is still strong with me.
To that end, I've put up another tarball for people to ogle at. They
can be found at:
http://donscorgie.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/spoon-0.2.tar.gz
and
http://donscorgie.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/spoon-0.2.tar.bz2
md5s are:
85f953ae87754f4eed43a60148e34fa3 spoon-0.2.tar.bz2
a61cbdecc9ad26765cf6204e0ad02cad spoon-0.2.tar.gz
Whats new?
* Scrolls are now translated in-file
* All scrolls in data/sk-import are handled in the library init (but not
recursively)
* Add support for series_id and type in the Scroll struct
Still haven't done the install thing [2], so it still needs to be run
from the source directory. Things are a lot quicker now, with the
example program taking ~ 0.05s to run and print all the titles to
console (warm cache) - 50% improvement - and the migration script
taking ~ 20 seconds to complete - 400% improvement.
The scrolls now contain all the translations available (which looks
really cool) and the output files are put in the root data/sk-import
directory. It also supports "type" - the mime type of the document and
the series (in the form of a reverse-dns style). Dunno if these are
actually useful, but I needed them during devel, so decided to keep them
around for now. They aren't translated.
Anyone even vaguely interested?
Enjoy
Don
[1] Flooded my inbox it did. Honest.
[2] Promise, that's next on the list. Honest.
