Are there any plans to add a way to retrieve highlighting information from a sourcebuffer? I am working on an application in which I am doing syntax highlighting and undo/redo with a text buffer and I would rather use gtksourceview but for one issue. I need to be able to tell wether an iter is inside of a comment or a string etc and I can't seem to find any way to get this information out of a source buffer no matter what I try.
Is there a way to do this that I am unaware of or plans to add this sort of functionality?
(this bug
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=547151 also gave me some trouble but I could just write my own bracket matcher if I had the functionalty mentioned above.)
Thank you for your time,
Soren Berg
