Hiding grips from DockItems

Hey,
DockItem's has show_grip and hide_grip methods, but it seams that they
have no function. When I try to hide grips I get:

(pychess:25452): Gdl-WARNING **: Grips always show unless
GDL_DOCK_ITEM_BEH_NO_GRIP is set

And if I set GDL_DOCK_ITEM_BEH_NO_GRIP, show_grip has no function.
