Yeah, I think a FAQ would be useful. I don't think a FAQ exists
currently.

Yeah, I think should expand a bit on why I think such a site would be
useful to developers. One of the main things I think the site should
promote is IDE-style component integration. Many tools are written now
completely independent of each other. This is good in that the programs
are small and focused, however the only way they comunicate their
results is by files. With this, I think it would be good for these
programs to have an option to write their results to a global database
(I'm working on a project that could enable this). Furthermore it would
be nice if some tools could be bonobo components so they could be easily
embeded in other applications.
The other focus of the site I think, would be to show what tools are
currently availible, and which are in development. Perhaps the gnome
software map covers the currently availible pretty well, and maybe we
should just link to that site. However, I think we should also show
where we are going with future developments.
