Your argument, the little that you make, is hardly persuasive. A polite
inquiry will make more developers at ease when addressing you.
Regardless of the inaccuracies in you remarks, I'm sure many users would
like to adjust the colors of a theme. You can start making constructive
contributions to the GNOME project by:
1. Check bugzilla.gnome.org for the feature request, and adding it if
it does not exist.
2. As this feature seems very important to you, you need to provide a
persuasive argument as to why this feature is a high priority.
(Adjusting theme colors is certainly not a high priority among the
active GNOME developers).
3. I doubt you can convince the active developers it is a high priority,
but they would gladly except a patch for the feature. You could be
the person to contribute that patch.

I find your statement somewhat ironic, and most definitely
hypocritical. An apology and some effort on the points list above would
really help redeem your tarnished reputation--and help you reach your
goal to edit a theme's color.
