Done. I've added GNOME2 keywords to the two bugreports involved. It
would be really nice if the patches could be split up into three like
this:

- one patch for the wordselect problem
- one patch for the CutToBeginningOfLine feature
- one patch for the update problems

The first and last of those should be applied to both 1.4.x and 2.x I
think.
