I suspected as much (as I've told some of the other respondants). Is there a way
to get gtop to just show the memory being used minus the shared memory? It
reports that user-space applications take up like 75 MB of memory which I know is
untrue, and I don't feel like looking at it, then pulling up the calculator and
tallying it all up and such... I just wanna see the apps themselves.
BTW, what's the difference between SIZE and RSS? I noticed a few applications
showed differences of like 10K in gtop (that being netscape and its required
ld-linux.so) between Total Size and Residant Size (what I assume RSS to be).
