If you use "cvs co -d", it doesn't do the cleverness with the modules
file, so you don't get a copy of "macros" like you're supposed to.

Either check it out without -d and then mv the directory, or check it
out and then check out the "macros" module inside that directory. Then
autogen should hopefully work better.
