Modem Lights Feature Request

Not quite sure where to send this, so I thought this list would be a
good place.. ;-)

Since I haven't the slightest idea how to write patches, or to submit
them, can I ask that someone add a feature to the Modem Lights applet
for it to call the close connection command when the applet closes
(i.e., user exits GNOME)?  I have a rough version of this in mine (it
can't be switched off or anything), but it works (very easy to do).
